Wherever you turn, it's obvious that fine wine has become an important part of the American lifestyle. From boardroom luncheons to catered events; from corporate dinners to intimate celebrations; from restaurant dining to home entertaining, wine is now the beverage of choice. Collecting and enjoying fine wine has become a passionate hobby for many, and even a prerequisite for social and professional success.

Why such popularity? The answer is simple: fine wines are delicious, enhance any meal or social occasion, and are just plain fun. And the more you know about them, the more enjoyable they become.

Since we founded Executive Wine Seminars in 1981, we've conducted hundreds of "high-end" wine events for a variety of clients, mostly corporations. Our events are enjoyed by many groups and organizations, but in recent years, we've specialized in client entertaining. We conduct wine events in a relaxed, entertaining manner which invariably makes people feel confident about a subject which, at first, may seem intimidating.

With all the interest in wine these days, our events consistently attract a large, enthusiastic turnout. At the conclusion of each event, participants leave with lasting impressions and a newfound knowledge of wine. And they usually leave with a big smile, shaking your hand and telling you that "this was great!"

In creating wine events, we work closely with our clients to understand their needs and then tailor the event to meet those needs. The menu of possibilities is extensive. However, if you're not sure about what theme to choose, we suggest Comparing French and American Wines, our most popular tasting format. We've conducted this tasting for dozens of clients, including American Express as part of their Membership Rewards program.

Comparing French & American Wines

Comparing French & American Wines is an exciting blind tasting format which features five pairs of wine made from the same grape type, one from France, the other from the USA. Pairings include Champagne (vs American sparkling wine), Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Participants have a lot of fun guessing which wine is French and which is American. But more than that, the tasting provides a valuable learning experience as tasters are stripped of their wine prejudices and left to concentrate on what they like in the glass instead of on the label.

As our specialty is "high end" wines, the type that you and your guests would appreciate most, this tasting represents an ideal overview of the world's greatest wines. We like to include such gems as Chateau Mouton-Rothschild, Corton-Charlemagne (Vincent Girardin, Robert Mondavi Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, and Kistler Chardonnay in the tasting). All wines selected represent the best of its type.

Other tasting themes include:

The Ultimate Introduction to Wine

Matching Food with Wine

Mastering Restaurant Wine Lists

The Grand Cru Wines of Bordeaux

California Cabernet Sauvignons

The Best of the Brut Champagnes

We assure you that regardless of which wine event you choose, it will be conducted with the utmost professionalism. We look forward to planning an exciting wine event with your group.
